Pracchanna Karma and Lepana
Prachanna Karma comes from Sanskrit, where “Prachanna” means to puncture or scarify and “Karma” means procedure.
It is a minor Ayurvedic blood-letting therapy in which tiny controlled pricks are made to release stagnant or impure blood, helping reduce local inflammation and pain. This treatment is used to relieve conditions such as alopecia, hair loss, baldness, hair thinning, chronic skin disorders, localized swelling, and certain joint issues, while promoting circulation and detoxification.
Lepana comes from Sanskrit, where “Lepana” means application or coating. It involves applying a warm herbal paste to affected areas to cool inflammation, ease joint and muscle pain, and nourish the skin for faster healing and relief.
