Elakizhi

Elakizhi is a Malayalam term from Kerala Ayurveda, where “Ela” means medicinal leaves and “Kizhi” means pouch or potli.
It is a therapeutic massage in which warm potlis filled with herbal leaves sautéed in medicated oils are gently applied over the body.
This treatment relieves joint and muscle pain, reduces inflammation, sandhivaata, crepitus (cracking sound), spondylosis and improves blood circulation. Regular sessions also help ease stiffness, enhance flexibility, and promote deep relaxation and detoxification.
