Janu Basti comes from Sanskrit, where “Janu” means knee and “Vasti” means retaining or pooling. It is a localized Ayurvedic therapy in which warm, medicated oil is pooled around the knee joint inside a herbal dough ring. This treatment nourishes the joints, reduces pain and stiffness, is effective for Sandhivaata and improves circulation in the knee area. Regular sessions help relieve arthritis symptoms, strengthen the knees, and enhance overall joint mobility.
