Vamana is a Sanskrit term meaning “therapeutic emesis” or medically induced vomiting. It is one of the five classic Panchakarma detox therapies in Ayurveda, aimed at expelling excess Kapha dosha from the body. Under the supervision of an Ayurvedic physician, it helps clear mucus and toxins from the respiratory and digestive systems. Benefits include improved breathing, relief from chronic allergies or sinus congestion, enhanced digestion, and better overall metabolic balance.
